Part of the magic of a branch library is having a community space for our neighborhood with the collections and programming of a large city library system. Branch staff bring useful, fun, and interesting collections, programming, and events to Petworth Library with the support of the staff in the D.C. Public Library system.
We are a communal space for:
Community meetings,
afterschool homework,
free internet access,
children’s story time,
maker’s spaces
Collections include:
online databases,
electronic books
special collections.
Programming includes:
children’s story time
classes such as photography, finance, chess
writer’s workshops
maker’s spaces
